The SJA Boys Basketball team defeated Keystone Heights 56-33 on Tuesday night at home to bounce back after a tough loss to Providence late last week.  The Flashes took command early, leading 15-8 after the first and 29-12 at intermission.  Almost every player on the roster was able to get in the scoring column in the second half as SJA led 45 - 21 heading into the final quarter.

SJA was led in scoring by Junior Mason Sword with 16 points; Juniors Larry Mitchell and Sam Wolff each had 8 points; Junior Andy Gonzalez added 7 points; Junior Guillermo Gonzalez added 6 points; Sophomore Jameer Clark had 3 points; Kevin Hoversen, Donovan Woods, Mark Alvelo and Tyler Buenaflor each had 2 points to round out the scoring.

SJA now prepares to play City of Life Christian Academy in the semifinals of the Sunshine State Athletic Conference State Tournament on Friday at 3:00pm in Tavares, Florida at The Big House. City of Life is ranked #13 in Florida in Class 2A; SJA is #15. Morningside Academy, who is also in the semifinal bracket is ranked #14.  3A Bell Creek is the #1 seed in the bracket.  It will be a tough road for the Flashes to win a second consecutive SSAC State Championship this weekend.

Tennis Practice will start Tuesday, January 18 ar 3:30.  You must have a physical packet turned in before you can start practice.  Physical packets are in the front office.

Please bring your cap and gown order form with you on picture day to be turned into leonards.  Cap and Gown photos will be taken Jan. 19th during lunches.

Any ladies interested in playing softball this upcoming spring please come sign up in the front office.  There will be a softball team meeting Today, January 10th, at 2:45 right after school in the gym lobby.

Attention students, faculty, and staff! Do you want to participate in the March for Life St. Augustine?  If the answer is yes, come  by room 22 for a short info meeting, this Wednesday, after school.  The March for Life Saint Augustine is for anyone who is pro-life and believes in the sanctity of all human life. 

There will be a bee club meeting Thursday January, 13th.

There will be a VHP meeting Tuesday after school in Mrs. Boyce's room, portable 1.

Lacrosse Clinics resume on 1/6/2022 from 3:30-4:30PM

First Lacrosse Practice will be 1/24/2022.  Please have all medical clearance and all the forms complete before the first practice.  Forms are available in the front office. 

Seniors: Don't forget to fill out the senior Superlative google form in your emails.

Grad Bash will be held April 8 from 7PM-2AM Tickets are $65 and will be available to purchase until December 18th.  See Mrs. Hollis in room 24.  Cash or Checks made out to SJA only.

Every Wednesday@ Carnival Sweets tell them you are supporting the SJA Veteren's Heritage Program and they will donate a portion of the sale back to SJA's VHP.

Thursdays after school we will have Discipleship Groups in the Chapel, this will be an opportunity for small group discussion about faith and life.  All are welcome.

NHS Tutoring will be held Mondays in the media center from 2:45-3:15, offered by NHS students.

The High School Placement Test is scheduled for January 22, 2022.  All prospective students that will be entering 9th grade for the 2022-2023 school year should take this test!
