I feel I truly have come full circle in my St. Joseph Academy
experience!
Born and bred in St. Augustine (Minorcan!), I am a proud alumna
of St. Joseph Academy (Class of '65). Shortly after graduation I
entered the Sisters of St. Joseph and embarked upon a career in
education, beginning with five years in elementary schools
throughout the state.
My degree in Religion from the University of Florida marked me
as a life-long Gator! I journeyed to Indiana and the St. Meinrad
School of Theology for my Master of Religious Education degree.
Assignments to administration saw me at Jacksonville University
to obtain those certification credentials.
My high school career began at Bishop Kenny High School where I
was privileged to be teacher/administrator for twenty years.
Assigned to SSJ Congregational administration, I returned to St.
Augustine in 1994. The Academy's need for a part-time religion
teacher found me back at the alma mater for the 1997-98 school
year!
Relying on the SSJ charism of union and reconciliation, I seek
to bring to our community a religious presence, an optimistic
spirit and a sense of humor. |
