Wow! What a pleasure it is to be a member of this dynamite
Catholic community here at St. Joseph Academy. I didn't always
want to be a teacher, although some of my fondest childhood
memories surround playing "school" with my three younger sisters
in Queens Village, NY. We used birthday cards and religious
statues as students. Yes, I was a firm, but fair teacher even
then.
I earned an AA from St. Catharine's Junior College in Kentucky,
and I earned a BA in Psychology from Flagler College. I feel
blessed to have been "called" as a member of this faculty in
2005 after teaching junior high at Cathedral Parish School for
five years. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be teaching
courses across two disciplines: English and Psychology. I
currently teach AP Psychology, General Psychology, American
Literature, and English 9 Honors.
Each day offers new opportunities to learn, to discover, to
grow-- all of this via students who possess a willingness to
learn and a drive to achieve great heights. God has truly
showered me with the graces and the blessings of this wonderful
vocation to touch the lives of so many exceptional students. I
cannot imagine life without this caring and positive community! |
