SR. CAROL
WELLS
 |
Forty
six years ago, a young girl from West Virginia was called by God
to the Sisters of St. Joseph. Thus began her journey of touching
eternity, one student at a time.
Sr. Carol Wells has blessed St. Joseph Academy for 20 years with
her expertise and her love of children. “I love working with
kids. I just love kids. They haven’t changed over the years.
They’re as much fun as they used to be.” Sister Carol taught at
the old St. Joseph Academy when it was on St. George Street.
Today, St. Joseph Academy continues to reap the benefits of
Sister’s love and knowledge for the arts.
Presently, Sister Carol teaches Pottery I and II, Drawing and
Painting I and II and AP Art. When she is not imparting
knowledge she can be found at the pottery wheel “praying.” “My
prayer is the Arts. If I couldn’t do art, I’d just wither up and
die.”
Although Sister Carol has no plans on retiring, she’d like to
use art therapy in working with juvenile delinquents one day.
