What is the Golf Classic?
Each year, St. Joseph Academy holds a Golf Tournament to raise funds for student scholarships and to enhance our academic and sports programs. Without the assistance provided by the Golf Tournament proceeds, many deserving students would not have the opportunity to attend St. Joseph Academy or the availability of extra-curricular activities and athletics.
Our Goal: To have a minimum of 130 golfers participate and to obtain at least $5,000 in sponsorship monies so that our 31st Annual Golf Classic will yield $16,000 or more!
This year the tournament will be held on Monday, November 21, 2011 at the beautiful Mark McCumber designed 18 hole golf course at Marsh Creek Country Club on Anastasia Island in St. Augustine.
Golfers will enjoy a memorable day of golf, with registration beginning at 10:00 a.m., the driving range opens at 10:30 a.m. and there will be a 12 Noon Shot Gun Start. Box lunches will be provided, the Awards Ceremony will include dinner at 5:30 p.m. for all our golfers at the elegant Marsh Creek Dining Room, overlooking the marsh. It promises to be another great tournament with raffles and fantastic prizes!!
Team Prizes: First Place Low Gross, 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Low Net.
Prizes will include rounds of golf and golf getaways!
Putting Contest: Your putting contest ticket is included in the Mulligan packages. Additional chances may be purchased at 2 for $5. There is no limit on the number of attempts you may purchase. The putting contest is open throughout the tournament. All putts within a 12 inch circle of the cup qualify for the Putt-Off Final which will be held just prior to the Awards Ceremony.
