Income by Category Saturday, March 17, 2012 In the Gymnasium 9th Year with our Generous Sponsor Carrabba’s Italian Grill Auction 2012 promises to be another stunning event, in the true St. Joseph Academy Auction tradition! We look forward to a truly delectable dinner catered by Carrabba’s and a spectacular evening spent bidding on the outstanding selection of items in the following categories: Art, Basket Boutique, Entertainment, Home, Jewelry, Golf, Personal, Portovino, Restaurant Row and Sports Memorabilia. Hula Moolah Island Auction 2011 generated over $90,000 for SJA! Goal for St. Patrick’s Day Auction 2012: $100,000!!! WHAT IS THE AUCTION? It is the largest SJA fundraiser and each year it provides between $90,000-$100,000 in revenue for St. Joseph Academy. Fundraising enables the Academy to cover operating costs which exceed the revenue generated by regular tuition and fees. The Auction is a year-long project. It begins with the Parent Dinner Meeting on August 25, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. in the Cafeteria. Parents receive a packet of information so they can begin soliciting for items, sponsorships and advertisements. We use a simple formula which we call the Auction Mantra: if you patronize businesses on a regular basis, you can approach them for donations of items and gift certificates or for sponsorships and advertisements; and they are more likely to come through for you because you are a loyal patron. If you did not attend the Parent Meeting, please arrange to pick up your packet of information from the Development Office right away or simply download it (see below). Your packet contains a lot of very important information including our It Takes Everyone! "HOW TO" AUCTION BOOKLET, a general Auction letter, a Sponsorship Levels Form, an Auction Program Advertisement Form, and an Auction Donation Form which may be used to solicit items, ads and sponsorships(see below).
